The celebrity chef has endured a series of negative stories in the media, including accusations that he had an affair, that his gastropubs sell reheated ready meals, that he was in financial trouble and that his claim to have played for Rangers football club was false.
He is now in final talks with PHA Media to handle his personal PR. PHA Media founder Phil Hall confirmed: 'We are in talks and we are close to coming to an agreement.'
He said he would be helping Ramsay's 'brilliant' retained agency Sauce Communications, who handle PR for all of Ramsay's businesses.
Hall would effectively replace Gary Farrow, who worked with Ramsay for over five years before an acrimonious split in January.
'Gary did a great job for Gordon over a long period of time,' added Hall.
Farrrow said: 'Good luck. He's going to need it, because according to my cab driver Gordon Ramsay, celebrity chefs are having a really tough time at the moment'.
