Capgemini signs up Prompt Communications

- Sogeti, a division of the IT services and business consultancy company Capgemini Group, has appointed Prompt Communications. Sogeti provides software testing and infrastructure services for the corporate and public sectors.

- Social Media Library has launched the first intelligent directory of the most influential Twitter users in the UK. The company provides PR and marketing professionals with information on the most influential social media sites in the UK. The Twitter directory enables people to search by topic to find the people on Twitter creating the biggest stir across sectors, such as consumer, health, b2b, corporate and finance.

- has hired Tannissan Mae to relaunch the stock photo website in the UK. iStock, part of Getty Images, acts as a channel between photographers and the commercial audience. Tech and b2b PR specialist Tannissan Mae will 'encourage Britons to define today's Britain in images and sounds'. The agency will also build iStock's media profile in the trade press.

- Qire, a 'voice customer relationship management' company, has brought in Context Public Relations. Qire provides applications for Littlewoods, Trent Water and Santander, to verify the identity of callers and route calls to a live agency or deliver a personalised voice message. Context will look to raise Qire's profile across the regional, national and trade press.

- Big Cat Group, the Birmingham-based creative consultancy, has collaborated with online/web services expert Substrakt to create a social media consortium in the Midlands. Big Cat has previously worked on social media campaigns on behalf of the West Midlands Police and Birmingham City Council.
