Band & Brown holds on to ING account, WW Advisors appoints Madano Partnership.

- Band & Brown Communications has won a four-way pitch to keep the retained UK PR account for direct savings bank ING Direct UK. The three-year contract will see incumbent Band & Brown handle all reputation management along with brand and product PR. The agency was originally handed the business in December 2005, promoting the bank's savings account, and launching mortgage and insurance products.

- Scott White, director of communications at global investment firm Martin Currie, will leave his position at the end of June to explore other career opportunities. He joined the firm from Standard Life, where he had been head of media relations, in November 2007. Before he joined Standard Life he spent 13 years with Aegon.

- BDO Stoy Hayward, the accountancy and business advisory firm, has appointed Leeds-based PR agency Ptarmigan Bell Pottinger to provide PR support for its Manchester office. Ptarmigan, which became part of Bell Pottinger North last month, has worked with the Leeds office of BDO Stoy Hayward since 2006. BDO Stoy Hayward is the world's fifth largest accountancy network, with more than 1,000 offices in over 100 countries.

- Madano Partnership has been appointed as retained adviser by WW Advisors, a UK-based advisory boutique providing specialised real estate investment and financing services throughout Europe. The company has a particular competence in Shariah-compliant finance. Madano will look to build its reputation and brand within the fund and investment community.

- MRM has appointed Sarah O'Connell to the position of consultant. Prior to her new role O'Connell worked at MRM as an account executive, where she gained experience on a variety of accounts, including Ignis Asset Management, Nucleus and Greenbee, part of the John Lewis Partnership.

- Lord North Street, the private investment office, has appointed Fin Public Relations as its retained PR adviser. Founded in 2000, Lord North Street advises and manages fortunes of wealthy individuals, families and charities with substantial endowments.
