Future Shorts has teamed up with Samsung Mobile to run a competition during its imminent short film festival together with a social media campaign.
KDD PR is directing and creating the media strategy to promote the festival to both trade and consumer press.
The festival will see renowned directors Mike Figgis (of Leaving Las Vegas fame), Rankin & Chris, Diamond Dogs (known for their music videos) and upcoming director James Lees compete to have their specially created short films shown in 108 screens across the UK on the 5 June.
The films will be made available online and the public will be encouraged to vote for their favourite.
Future Shorts will use its retained consumer agency to reach consumer media. Weber Shandwick is handling Samsung Mobile’s involvement. Samsung wants to promote its new high definition mobile phone.
