Trimedia poaches Bite Communications' Ruby Quince

Trimedia has poached Ruby Quince, the founder of the 'Itchy City' guides, to head up its digital comms.

Quince will take up the newly created role of head of digital on 20 May. He joins from Bite Communications, where as head of digital, he drove digital and online buzz campaigns for tech clients such as Nuance, Symantec and AMD Microprocessors.

He will help Trimedia to develop engaging online content for current clients, as well as pitching for new business.

CEO Loretta Tobin said: 'We're in the business of building long term communications strength for our clients, and a fully integrated, platform-neutral approach is vital. The exponential growth of online and social media has provided us with so many opportunities that we took the decision to invest in Ruby's skills and experience to lead the charge'.

Quince trained as a journalist, and founded the 'Itchy City' travel guide brand in 1998, creating early stage mobile internet services and a network of user-generated city guide websites.
