Regional PR support hunt

Make Your Mark, the government-funded programme to encourage enterprising behaviour in young people, is seeking eight regional PR agencies.

The new agencies will be appointed to handle the regional elements of Make Your Mark's national campaigns, which are run by arts PR specialist Colman Getty. They will be expected to have good links with local and regional newspapers.

Make Your Mark was founded by the British Chambers of Commerce, the CBI, the Federation of Small Businesses and the Institute of Directors, and is chaired by Dragons' Den's Peter Jones. It is funded by the Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform.

Make Your Mark's most recent campaign saw it giving £10 loans to school children to challenge them to make profits from entrepreneurial activities.

Although Make Your Mark did not define which regions it would be focusing on, it is expected to reflect its office locations, which are in the east of England, north east, north west, West Midlands and Yorkshire and The Humber.
