The consultancy, Pasquali Jones said, aims to ‘lick magazines into shape' and help them through the tough economic conditions.
Her start-up clients include the Big Lottery Fund's publication Big as well as a number of publishing houses looking to revamp failing magazines hit by the recession.
‘I am bound by secrecy in revealing client details. The only one I can talk about is Big as it is publicly funded and has fantastic human-interest stories,' she said.
Pasquali Jones's journalism career spans more than 17 years working with a long list of women's magazines. She founded Love It! in 2006, but left in December last year when the News International title was sold to Munich-based Hubert Burda Media.
She said: ‘Hubert Burda Media got rid of the top layer of staff. I saw all these suffering magazines on the shelves and with my experience of developing and launching magazines, I knew I could help them with my skills.'
Previously, she has helped launch real-life weeklies Pick Me Up in and Real, and edited Mother and Baby in 2004-2005.
