Warwickshire County Cricket Club hires Golley Slater

Golley Slater's Birmingham office has been hired by Warwickshire County Cricket Club to promote the launch of the Twenty20 cricket season at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground.

The agency's PR and online campaign will be based around a Wild West theme.

Nathan Lane, managing director of Golley Slater's Birmingham agency said, it would offer the support that ‘Warwickshire needs to enable it to connect even more with commercial sector's intent on capitalising on the boom of the sport'.

Four Birmingham companies, including CrossCountry Trains, have agreed new sponsorship deals with the cricket club for the 2009 season.

The Warwickshire Bears will play their first game on 29 May when they take on local rivals the Worcestershire Royals.
