1. Staff at production firm TalkbackThames must have been as surprised as the rest of us when frumpy contestant Susan Boyle became a global phenomenon overnight.

The company has hired DADA PR to help manage the deluge of global media inquiries about Boyle, whose performance is tipped to become the most-viewed YouTube video of all time.

2. Keep Britain Tidy's media manager Dickie Felton has shunned press releases to write his first book, The Day I Met Morrissey. The work, about the singer's obsessive fans, is released in May to coincide with Morrissey's 50th birthday.

3. It was a sight for sore eyes. Those trudging through Piccadilly Circus on Monday morning witnessed a mass dance to Beyonce's All The Single Ladies by 100 Beyonce doppelgangers. It was part of Pretty Green's campaign for chewing gum brand Trident.
