2008 was a strong year

Despite the downturn, the UK's top PR agencies sustained double-digit growth for the fourth year in a row in 2008.

Figures published today in PRWeek’s Top 150 2009 show that, on average, the top UK agencies grew in fee income by ten per cent in 2008. In total, the top 150 PR agencies made about £858m in fees last year. But this growth was more modest than the 22 per cent posted by the top 150 agencies in 2007. A minority of agencies earned less in fees in 2008 than they did in 2007.
