The 2009 finalists have been announced, picked from over 900 submissions across the 27 award categories.
London Communications Agency, Lansons Communications, Threepipe Communications, Manning Selvage & Lee and Tangerine PR are also in the running for the top agency award.
Finalists for the outstanding in-house team are Which?, Energy Retail Association, London Borough of Camden, World Vision, Transport for London and Asda.
‘We have had a record number of Excellence Awards entries this year,' said CIPR Director General Colin Farrington. ‘We all know that awards are profile raising gold for the finalists and winners, but they have significance for the industry as a whole too. By demonstrating the value public relations can add to business and society they make it that bit easier for us to prove our worth and justify our budgets, which is of even greater import at this time.'
Short listed entrants will be invited for interview in May by a panel of judges comprising senior PR practitioners and experts from the business, media, marketing and advertising communities.
The winners will be announced at the Excellence Awards Dinner at the Honourable Artillery Company Gardens in London on 7 July.
