World Heart Federation appoints Shandwick

Weber Shandwick has been appointed by World Heart Federation as its retained comms agency after a three-way pitch.

The Federation, based in Geneva, works to achieve longer and better lives through prevention of heart disease and stroke, with a focus on low- and middle-income countries.

It has nearly 200 members across the globe including the British Heart Foundation.

Weber Shandwick deputy director of healthcare in the UK Brian Tjugum will lead the account, reporting to World Heart Federation chief executive Dr Jeya Wilson.
