Celic joins the FTSE 100 insurance giant as group public affairs and policy director, replacing Damian Leeson.

He makes the move after just over two years at HSBC, having joined in early2007 as government relations manager (PRWeek, 7 February 2007).

Prior to joining HSBC, Celic – said to be a keen Labour Party supporter – spent six years at Fishburn Hedges. Before this he was head of parliamentary and public affairs at Water UK.

Prudential currently uses Lexington Communications for public affairs.
