Opinion: PR degrees are more important than ever

Those that dismiss PR degrees are those without them. As a PR graduate turned lecturer, this aged and damaging PR degree debate is disgusting.

Despite the reports (PRWeek.com, 13 March) the PR world has been supportive to PR degrees. I have been fortunate enough to have advice from more than 50 senior PR directors to make my courses stronger and I have had the personal honour of working and teaching alongside all of them.

Practitioners and academics will continue to form alliances to facilitate and prepare the next generation of PR workers to fill the frightening industry talent shortages.
