Home Retail Group consolidate on Iris

Home Retail Group has ditched two agencies in order to consolidate its two brands, Argos and Homebase, into one agency.

Iris PR has been handed all consumer PR for both brands, following a pitch process. The agency starts work in April across the consolidated business.

Sputnik Communications has ceased to be the lead agency of Argos, and Yellowdoor no longer works for Homebase, having decided not to repitch.

Iris has worked with Argos for the last year on a news generation brief to support brand-building activities.

Sputnik said it had replaced Argos’ fees with a six-figure brief to run a government-backed initiative to promote the importance and benefits of eating with the seasons.

Home Retail Group will continue to work with financial PR agency Finsbury, which is unaffected by this change.
