The ALMR, which represents pub and bar operators, has handed the agency a retained contract. ALMR chief executive Nick Bish said the body wanted to make sure ‘positive messages’ about the industry were getting through to the Government.

At the same time, Bell Pottinger has been appointed to advise an ‘action group’ of depositors who have been hit by the demise of the bank Kaupthing, Singer & Friedlander in the Isle of Man. The agency also recently won a major account with National Express (PRWeek, 13 March).
