Rosanna Crawley has joined the hotel as head of comms, overseeing PR, strategic partnerships and internal comms.

The hotel previously outsourced its PR to True Communications. Crawley reports to sales and marketing director Louise Smythe, and will also work closely with comms director Anna Glover, who is responsible for the overall strategy at parent company Dorchester Collection.

Previously Crawley spent three years at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, and five years at agencies Mainland PR and Shared Value. Mandarin Oriental has promoted Holly Johnstone to PR manager.

Crawley's initial task is to launch the Dorchester Spa in May, following a six month £3.2m expansion and renovation. She will also handle media for the Dorchester Collection's recently announced UK expansion plans. The group expects to add two further UK hotels to its portfolio by 2010.

The Dorchester Collection is a group of luxury hotels that includes the Beverly Hills Hotel, Hotel Bel-Air in LA and Le Meurice in Paris.
