Flack: Blogging, Spielmann, mega-pitch, and Power Book 2009 party!

Flack loves a good bunfight and our recent story on prweek.com about Lib Dem MP Lynne Featherstone mobilising a 'blogging army' caused just that. Upon reading it, easyJet UK comms manager Andrew McConnell accused Featherstone of using a ghost writer for her blog. 'Complete bollocks,' responded Featherstone. 'I write it myself and have done for more than five years.' Cue one snivelling blog-apology...

The Jools Payne Partnership sent a press release to Leicestershire weekly The Coalville Times, announcing that three local jobs had been saved by Max Spielmann photo processing. 'Why do we care if three people have had their jobs saved in Coalville?' came the Meldrewish response from the paper. 'Max Spielmann should pay to put an advert in our paper.' Finally, expect to see the UK PR industry's great and good at the exclusive Paramount club at Centre Point on Wednesday 25 March. PRWeek is holding its Power Book 2009 party, at which the elite one per cent of PROs will enjoy insane amounts of champagne. No heckling at the back, Peter Bingle.
