Opinion: From our readers - Save the reputation of Heston Blumenthal

Can it be right that the reputation of one of the world's most talented chefs, Heston Blumenthal, is slowly reduced to a stock of obsolescence with a dash of sangfroid? Seeing TV reports of a world-revered restaurant boarded up is yet another indictment of our celebrity culture.

Has there been an honest mistake or has the proprietor's foray into experimental TV caused things to go awry in the kitchen? Whatever the case, this is a real crisis, demanding authority and humility, not a pot of stinging nettle tea and a marmoset muffin.
