- What is it good for?

Nestled in the hub of Bristol's new Cabot Circus, Piccolino brings quality, affordable dining to those who need to impress without financial distress. The traditional Italian menu encompasses everything from Pane to Contorni and being a mere stone's throwaway from Bristol News & Media makes it a great place to entertain journalists.

- Signature dishes

As Piccolino makes its own pasta on the premises, it has to be the fresh spaghetti bolognese, or the carbonara - or, in fact, anything pasta.

- Who's the boss?

The restaurant manager is Steve Holman; with head chef Tiero Boi adding an authentic Italian yet contemporary touch to the extensive menu.

- Any tips?

Book a table; it's really popular, especially towards the end of the week, whether you are there for lunch or dinner.

- What's the damage?

The lunchtime special is pizza, risotto, pasta or salad with a glass of wine for £10.
