DWP asks Rise, DDB and Band & Brown for pensions help

The Department for Work and Pensions has brought in agency help to promote changes to pension regulations that will affect millions of workers.

The DWP has handed a communications planning brief to Rise and also engaged DDB and Band & Brown to promote its key messages.

A DWP spokeswoman said: ‘As these reforms will impact on workers, employers and the public we require an information campaign to raise awareness of the changes and set out steps people can take to plan ahead for their retirement.'

The pension reform is designed to, amongst other things, make the state pension fairer for women and carers and for the first time give swathes of workers access to a work-place pension and an employer contribution.

The majority of changes will come into force in 2010.
