UPDATE: Twitter analysis sparks debate

PRWeek's story this week - 'Twitter has suddenly exploded' - has created a flurry of chatter in cyberspace, prompting a follow up article to be published next week.

The article included a piece of research identifying the prominent agencies and individuals on the micro-blogging phenomenon.

PRWeek is now requesting that any Twitterers who feel hard done by, or with points to add, contact the journalist Peter Hay (peter.hay@haymarket.com) who will be co-ordinating the follow up piece next week.

'Contrary to some opinions, PRWeek did not claim to be publishing the definitive judgement on Twitter, but to generate debate and gather opinion. In the spirit of social media, this is an ongoing and evolving process,' said Danny Rogers, editor of PRWeek.
