Located in the historic Great Western Railway Hotel, designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, Malmaison is perfect for both client meetings and entertaining. The restaurant style is contemporary and the bar luxurious, offering a relaxed environment for a working lunch or dinner.

The grill offers a mouthwatering selection of steaks and burgers. The local produce menu includes a variety of meats, fresh fish and vegetables.

- Who's the boss?

The manageress is Lorraine Jarvie and head chef is Andrew Holmes, a former protege of Jean Christophe Novelli.

- Tips please?

Holmes is a former winner of the Valrhona award for chocolate desserts, so try the delicious puddings.

The Brasserie's home grown and local menu offers two courses for £14.50 or three courses for £16.50.
