Who are the web barons?

Neil McIntosh is the editor, based in Europe. Tristan Leaver is general manager of The Wall Street Journal Digital Network in EMEA.

Get the tone right

It is primarily a news website edited in Europe for Europeans. However, if the story of the day is from New York, Beijing or Sydney, it leads on that. The relaunch focuses on multimedia features such as video, interactive graphics and podcasts. 'We are always interested in trends, events, analysis and business-focused news relevant to our high-powered audience,' says McIntosh.

Approachability

McIntosh offers this advice: 'Make sure you study the print and online versions first - get to know the reporters who cover specific beats - and the best way to contact WSJ Europe is to target the correct reporter.'
