Global Cool aims to highlight the amount of carbon wasted in the UK through the purchasing of clothes that never get worn. The new campaign, supported by Vodafone, is designed to raise awareness and promote the concept of ethically-minded fashion within the industry and the public. It aims to promote recycling, particularly of mobile phone handsets and clothes.
As part of the charity's latest activity, Threepipe has developed a partnership with Estethica, a space within the Designers' Exhibition at London Fashion Week dedicated to eco-sustainable contemporary high fashion.
Global Cool will be asking consumers to recycle their clothes by swapping them with friends rather than throwing them away. The charity will host a ‘swishing' event during London Fashion Week taking place next week.
Threepipe will create a series of consumer news stories to support awareness of Global Cool in the build up and during London Fashion Week.
