Flack: (Saving) on expenses - No3 York Place, Leeds

Reviewer: Verity Hudson, account manager, Approach PR

- What is it good for?

No3 York Place brassiere is perfect for a light snack from the Menu du Jour or full a la carte French cuisine. I immediately felt at ease with soul music, a beautiful glass vault ceiling and inspiring art.

- Signature dish

The Menu du Jour changes weekly using fresh produce and there is always something new to try, especially suitable for a daredevil like me... pig's trotters anyone? I loved the braised shoulder of lamb, boulangere potatoes and buttered vegetables with a light lamb jus.

- Who's the boss?

Owner Denis Lefrancq is always at hand. His attentive service, passion for French food, knowledge of fine wines and professional team create a slick operation.

- Tips please?

The 50-seater restaurant is split into two with intimate booths providing a confidential atmosphere for meetings.

- What's the damage?

An unbelievable offer through February for four diners includes three courses and two bottles of wine for £50, a snip at £12.50 each. Perfect in light of the difficult financial year.
