Jacinta Collins has been at the agency for ten years. As well as being in charge of the healthcare division, she took on strategic and operational responsibilities on an interim basis when former CEO Jonathan Shore left in 2007.
Collins said she had decided to go because she wanted a change, but she expected to continue working in the healthcare sector. Her departure is understood not to be part of the redundancy process at C&W. However, the agency will not replace her. Instead, her responsibilities will be spread between five directors, who will sit on a newly created healthcare board.
One of the directors is Alison Wright, former Novartis head of oncology external affairs and comms for Europe, who joined C&W this week. She said: ‘The ability to seamlessly combine deep healthcare expertise with corporate reputation and digital specialisms is a very compelling offer.’
Wright reports to CEO Fiona Noble. The other directors on the healthcare board are Fiona McMillan, Jo Spadaccino, Annabel Fiddian-Green and Rebecca Galbraith.
