Comms director for World Cup bid

England's 2018 World Cup bid has appointed tennis PR supremo Kris Dent as its director of communications.

Dent will take up the new role in March from his position as director of corporate communications at the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). He has been at the tennis association for two years acting as spokesperson and dealing with global press enquiries.

Before joining the ATP he worked at the Women's Tennis Association and the Lawn Tennis Association.

In his new role Dent will report in to 2018 chief executive Andy Anson. Dent is charged with helping to bring the world cup bid back to England for the first time since 1966.
