This year marks the first time that Fresh, an organisation aimed at highlighting regional excellence in the communications industry, has recognised the PR industry. Fresh already organises awards for the creative, media, and digital sectors.
Fido PR has also nabbed a nomination for the top prize of Freshest PR Team, along with NHS Lothian, Newcastle City Council, Stockport Metropolitan Borough, Brazen, and Trimedia PR.
The winners will be announced on 5 March in a ceremony in Manchester.
The awards panel was chaired by Mark Borkowski, founder of Borkowski, and the judges include agency heads, as well as PRWeek editor Danny Rogers and consultant editor Claire Murphy. There were over 200 entries with agencies and in-house PR teams competing to win awards in categories including Freshest Green PR and Freshest Use of a Celebrity.
