The agency will create a CSR initiative with schools around the country having won the account via a three way pitch.
3 Monkeys will work with the National Schools Partnership to provide media support for the first Thomson Local Build a Business, a nationwide project involving up to 50 schools across the country.
Participating schools will be invited to submit proposals for a business that will add value to its local community before bringing the business to life for hands-on enterprise experience. Thomson Local will provide eligible schools with a £100 bursary, free online advertising on ThomsonLocal.com, build each business their own website and give access to a local business ‘hero' for advice and mentoring. The project will roll out nationwide from February 2009, with winners announced at the start of the autumn term.
The 3 Monkeys team will be led by associate director Russell Minahan and will report into Thomson Local press and internal relations manager, Mark Cox.
