- What is it good for?

In times of recession, where better to impress your clients than at the 'ground zero' of the credit crunch - a fabulous restaurant in the heart of the City. Prism certainly has the 'wow' factor as it is situated in the breathtaking old Bank of New York building.

- Signature dish

Here's the great bit - from January through to March they have, for the first time ever, launched a set menu. A starter of terrine of guinea fowl, ham hock, foie gras, prune and apple chutney, and a main course of slow roasted belly of middle white pork, choucroute and apple puree were magnificent.

- Who's the boss?

Head chef is Richard Robinson and a special note goes to the charming sommelier Krzysztof Chudzio.

- Tips please?

Book in advance for lunch, the place was heaving with 'wheeler-dealers'. If you need privacy book a table in the conservatory.

- What's the damage?

Two courses for £18, three for £25. An absolute bargain, we're coming back.
