Fund calls in Anderson

A London listed development fund specialising in part-private, part state-backed investments has brought in Gavin Anderson as its retained financial PR agency.

Babcock & Brown Public Partnerships (BBPP) is a FTSE 250 firm that primarily invests in Private Finance Initiative (PFI) and Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) products.

The Gavin Anderson team is being fronted by the agency's London CEO Ken Cronin and MD Byron Ousey.

Also on the account are director Michael Turner, associate directors Stuart Macaulay and Tom Poston and executive Matt O'Leary.

BBPP invests in infrastructure assets in the UK, Europe and internationally and has a portfolio of 50 PPP/PFI projects.

Unlike troubled funds invested in asset-backed securities, the firm's investments have maintained value with more than 98 per cent of revenues backed by governments.

The firm floated in November 2006 in an IPO led by FD and currently has a market capitalisation of approximately £315m.
