Sutton is the former senior partner of leading City law firm Macfarlanes, a position he held for nine years until April of this year.
In his 32 year career with the firm he established himself as one of London's leading advisors to both UK and international companies, specialising in corporate finance, securities law, takeover bids and M&A.
Sutton worked with Tulchan founder Andrew Grant when he established the agency after leaving Brunswick in 2000.
His appointment, the agency said, reflects the importance Tulchan is putting on having the requisite professional standards and management necessary to build a durable and proffesional communications agency.
Grant said: ‘His wide experience of managing a successful professional services partnership will be of great benefit as we continue to build Tulchan's into one of Europe's leading financial communications advisors. He will bring experience, judgement and authority to our business and decision making.'
