Annabel Fox will join the radio conglomerate next week as head of press. She will be in charge of the PR department and will work alongside deputy head of press John Chittenden (forrmer head of comms for LBC, Heart and Galaxy) and press officer Jemma Pike (former GCap press officer).
The newly formed PR structure follows Global Radio’s acquisition of GCap earlier this year. Global Radio now has 70 national brands across the Heart, Hit and Galaxy networks (including Capital Radio, LBC, Heart, Galaxy, Choice, XFM, Classic and Gold).
The inhouse team report to marketing director Nicola Thomson. Fox will work closely with retained corporate agency Brian MacLaurin Associates to execute the global PR strategy.
Fox is currently PR director at experiential marketing company RPM. She previously spent two years at the Outside Organisation, where she was consumer director for the last year. She left the entertainment agency in July.
