The agency won the account following a four-way pitch. The fair is in its second year and will be held in May 2009 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The agency has been briefed to develop and execute a strategic campaign across international territories, covering both the consumer and specialist arts press. JBPelham will also consult on a range of marketing initiatives to support the PR campaign and a launch event, which will be held in Miami on 4 December.
Hong Kong is the third largest art market in the world by auction turnover, and last year the fair welcomed 20,000 visitors including international and local collectors, curators, and museum professionals, generating US $20m (£13.3m) in sales.
