Pelham PR to work with the world's largest gold mining company

- Barrick gold, the world's largest gold mining company, has brought in Pelham PR to provide financial PR and corporate comms advice. Pelham is to widen Barrick Gold's investor and media profile within the UK and Europe, and assist with its investor relations programme in the Middle East and Asia. The Pelham team will be led by David Wynne-Morgan, president of Pelham, and Charles Vivian, director.

- BMB Group, the sovereign merchant bank and alternatives asset manager, has called in Penrose Financial as its PR adviser. Penrose will work to raise the company's media profile in the UK and throughout Europe, and to support business initiatives. The team at Penrose will be led by CEO Gay Collins. Meanwhile, Penrose has appointed Robert Roessler, ex-Sonus PR, to its capital markets team as a senior account manager and Annabel Hudleston as an account executive.

- Hudson Sandler has appointed Lucy Clark as a director of its corporate comms division. She joins from b2b and tech agency Buffalo Communications, where she spent six years and was most recently director and head of media relations. She will report to Claire Barry, head of the corporate comms team.

- Yatra Capital, the Indian real estate investor, has handed Weber Shandwick Financial a corporate and financial PR brief. The agency will work to increase awareness of the Amsterdam-listed company within the real estate, business and investment communities across PR and investor relations.

- Maitland's chairman Angus Maitland has been appointed co-chairman of AMO, the global financial comms network, which was co-founded by Maitland in 2001. Maitland's co-chairman Jim Abernathy has chaired the network out of New York since its formation and is chairman and chief executive of Maitland's American sister company, The Abernathy MacGregor Group.

- Jardine lloyd thompson, the insurance broker, has appointed Birmingham-based Rave as its retained PR and marketing agency. Rave has previously worked with the firm on a number of campaigns.
