- Fleishman-Hillard has won a competitive pitch to provide the first public affairs support to the Alliance of Sector Skills Councils, an organisation comprising all 25 licensed UK Sector Skills Councils that together articulate the voice of the employers of 85 per cent of the UK's workforce on skills issues.
- Interel Cabinet Stewart has appointed Benno van der Laan as MD of its 35-strong Brussels-based practice. He is currently head of the firm's Washington DC office and replaces Tom Parker, who joins Cambre Associates, Interel's strategic partner in Brussels.
- Charles Walker, the Tory MP and public administration select committee member, has said the public affairs agency world is 'over-populated'. Speaking at last week's Public Affairs News Action Day, Walker said: 'I think there will be some consolidation in the industry.'
