McCann Erickson to promote Durex product

The Cloud, Europe's largest independent wireless broadband provider, has handed Bite PR a retained account following a five-way competitive pitch. The firm has 20,000 WiFi network access points in 11 European countries and provides wireless connections for McDonald's, Heathrow Airport and City of London & Canary Wharf outdoor spaces.

Durex has brought in McCann Erickson to run a social media campaign to promote its female orgasm gel Play O. McCann will be encouraging frank discussion about women's preferences on blogs, social networks and online communities. The campaign is headed by Robin Wilson, director of social media, and Catherine Usher, senior account director, who will report to Ruth Gresty, senior brand manager at Durex.

Whiteoaks, the tech agency headed up by James Kelliher, has launched eTree, a digital PR offering. Whiteoaks eTree will focus on online communication, offering services such as search engine optimisation PR, RSS feeds, social media, online media and blog outreach.

Sage has handed an account to Marlin PR. Marlin will be working with the business software and services provider on an initiative to identify Britain's business IQ attributes. Sage has partnered with ITV1 to bring back iconic gameshow The Krypton Factor as part of the campaign.

The SAP User Group has brought in Spark Communications as its retained PR agency. The agency will be working with the group, an independent organisation for users of SAP, the world's largest business software company, to help it communicate its core messages more effectively.
