Beattie beat off competition from Paratus Communications and Trimedia to secure the brief for the UK-wide account. The account was put out to pitch last month (PRweek, 09 October 2008).
Beattie's first campaign will launch the airline's new route from London Gatwick to Helsinki. It will work with EasyJet to evolve the brand to enhance its appeal to both leisure and business travellers.
EasyJet's in-house PR team will continue to handle the press office function, while the new agency will focus on travel features, sponsorships, stunts and raising the airline's profile across the regions.
