NMC appoints Geronimo

Geronimo Communications has been appointed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) to run its 'Make a Difference, So They Can' campaign. Through the campaign, the NMC aims to recruit people with a broad range of skills, who want to make a contribution to improving standards of care in the nursing and midwifery profession.

The ABPI (Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry) has released a report showing that both members of the public and MPs are embracing the contribution that the pharmaceutical industry makes to society. The survey sought the views of 150 MPs and 2,100 members of the public.

Spink PR has appointed Sarah Henderson as an account manager. Henderson joins the team from Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Derby City Primary Care Trust (PCT) will now be known as NHS Derby City. The change in name came about as a result of Lord Darzi's review of the NHS, High Quality Care for All. The report showed that the term 'Primary Care Trust' was not widely understood by the public.
