Fourth Day won the account following a competitive pitch process. Kirstry Sewter will head up the account, reporting to YouGov's marketing executive, Hannah van Bergen.
The brief will see Fourth Day promoting the pollster's consulting credentials through comment opportunities to try and build on the reputation it has established in the political polling field.
The agency will also highlight YouGov's expertise in specialist markets through divisions covering: technology & telecommunications, media, financial services and the public sector.
Hannah van Bergen commented: ‘Fourth Day presented us with a clear and measurable strategy to raise our profile in key business sectors where we have dedicated consulting teams. We trust the Fourth Day team to come up with strong ideas using YouGov's ability to offer immediate insight, and also to be responsive to breaking news, which is so important for a campaign driven by comment and opinion.'
YouGov pioneered online political polling and has branched out into market research in recent years. The Daily Telegraph, the Sunday Times, the Sub and the News of the World have commissioned YouGov's political polls in recent months.
