Jonathan Hughes and Matt Neale will retain their respective roles and will continue to report to president and CEO Fred Cook. They will also join the agency’s Executive Management Committee.
The news follows the promotion of sister agency Weber Shandwick’s UK CEO Colin Byrne to European CEO two weeks ago.
Hughes and Neale took over three years ago, in which time London has become the company’s lead office for international assignments. Recent international wins include Nokia, Wrigley, Unilever and Glenfiddich.
Hughes said: ‘Our immediate priority is to invest more time and resources in key markets like France and Germany. We are frequently winning pan-European pitches, now is the time to invest in further growth for our brand.’
Mark Herford, who had served as regional managing director, Continental Europe, is returning to a full-time client service role.
