Swedish win boosts TLG

A Swedish retailer set to open in the UK this autumn has called in recently established agency TLG for a corporate and consumer brief.

Clas Ohlson is one of Scandinavia’s biggest retail brands, with close to 100 stores across Sweden, Finland and Norway.

The first UK store is due to open in November in Croydon, south London.

TLG, headed by Malcolm Gooderham, was picked from a shortlist believed to have included PR powerhouses Brunswick and Weber Shandwick.

However, sources close to Brunswick suggested the agency had turned down the account.

The win marks a triumphant fortnight for TLG, which was crowned New Agency of the Year at last week’s 2008 PRWeek Awards.
