Public Affairs: The Week in Lobbying

Luther Pendragon has appointed two new associate partners. Ian Hagg has resurfaced after quitting this summer as head of public affairs at Consolidated Communications. Campbell McDonald joins next month from the Cabinet Office, where he was press secretary to Ed Miliband.

Lexington Communications has hired Damian Collins, MD of Influence Communications, as senior counsel. Influence Communications is part of M&C Saatchi. At the same time, Lexington has poached Paul Boyfield, head of PPS Group's Manchester office, to head its own nascent Manchester offering.

Sport England has recruited McDonald's senior director for comms and government relations to head its comms and public affairs. Caroline Weber joins next month in the newly created role of executive director of comms and public affairs.

NHS Direct has snared Cancer Research UK's head of public affairs. Catherine

Meaden joins as associate director of marketing and communications.

The Royal Bank of Scotland has hired a new public affairs manager. Krystal

Miller joins from Fleishman-Hillard.
