- The CIPR has elected Jay O'Connor, MD of Racepoint Group Europe, as president for 2010. Companycare director Kevin Taylor is to replace Elisabeth Lewis-Jones as president next year.
- Debenhams is using Euro RSCG Biss Lancaster to handle its new UK store openings. It plans to open four by the end of the year.
- Pleon UK CEO Jennifer Paavola has quit the agency after two years without a new job lined up. European CEO Timo Sieg will manage Pleon UK until a replacement is found.
- Manchester City FC's head of comms, Paul Tyrrell, has left the club. The former PR chief of ITV Sport is expected to launch his own sports PR firm.
- Cadbury Trebor Bassett has handed its six-figure account to The Red Consultancy. Red will work on a Bassetts Allsorts launch in 2009.
- Puma, the sportswear firm, has taken on Capitalize to promote its sponsorship of this year's Volvo Ocean Race.
