The centre, which will harbour killer diseases such as cancer and bird flu, has called in PR help after residents expressed concern about its proposed location near St Pancras Station. Residents fear that the centre could pose a health risk to the local population.
A Fleishman-Hillard spokesman said the agency would be running an ‘engaging and compelling’ account that will include public relations, crisis comms., government relations and stakeholder engagement – including talking to the local community and the medical community.
The UK Centre for Medical Research and Innovation (UKCMRI) is being launched as a joint project between the Medical Research Council, Cancer Research UK, The Wellcome Trust and University College London.
