- Tesco has hired Golley Slater to handle a six-figure PR project for its development arm Spenhill. The agency will be running community and media relations for the £300m Welwyn Garden City scheme in Hertfordshire.

- Fleishman Hillard head of digital operations UK Paul Borge is moving to Consolidated PR in November to be its first head of digital.

- Macesport is to promote the first international football business summit Leaders in Football. The event takes place on 7-8 October at Chelsea FC and features senior decision-makers in world football.

- Media Zoo has secured a brief to handle global PR for oil refinery firm Ineos following its crisis support earlier this year during the Grangemouth oil dispute.

- Weber Shandwick Financial and Slam PR have won a six-figure joint brief to launch a luxury Dubai development, Bellatora. Prices for flats start at £500,000.

- Cohn & Wolfe's energy practice head Geoff Beattie has been promoted to leader of the agency's global practices. It follows the merger of Cohn & Wolfe and GCI Group last month.

- CLARIFICATION: The 'Taking Action' in the 19 September issue inaccurately suggested the First News and Save the Children campaign was working in opposition to the Government. They are in fact equal partners.
