From our Readers - Trevor Morris did not buy out QBO

You say Trevor Morris 'bought out Bell' from The Quentin Bell Organisation (Round Table, 19 Sept), but this is incorrect.

I founded QBO in 1973, building it with a talented team into a major player of its time before, in 1995, putting in place a succession plan. This diluted my majority shareholding over a period of years to the key management and at absolutely no cost to themselves. When I was reduced to a minority stake, I resigned as chairman.

Morris continued to make a significant contribution to QBO's development, eventually selling to Chime where the QBO brand was subsumed. It was quite a journey. But at no time did 'Morris buy out Bell'.
