The College of Law has brought in RMS PR to publicise a new a £5.5m Manchester law college.
The establishment will open in 2009 and the College of Law has handed a retained brief to RMS PR to raise awareness. The agency will aim to promote the North West region as the best place outside London to study law.
‘Manchester is second only to London in the sector and the legal market has grown more than 25 per cent in the past two years,’ said College of Law regional director Tricia Chatterton.
RMS will promote the college’s links with top law firms as well as the profession itself, which was glamorized in the 1990s by the cult BBC series This Life.
The agency will target law graduates and law firms primarily through regional media. The legal press and student papers will also be targeted.
RMS won the retained account following a four-way pitch.
The college has other bases in Birmingham, Guildford, York, Cheshire and London. Famous alumni include communities secretary Hazel Blears, Cherie Booth QC and Carol Thatcher.
