MKC poach Newstalk deputy station editor to grow senior team

Dublin-based MKC Communications has bolstered its senior team with the appointment of radio stalwart Kieran Garry as a consultant.

He joins the agency from his role as deputy station editor of Ireland's national news station Newstalk. He also previously worked for two years as producer on Today FM's The Last Word programme

MKC has recently rebranded from MRPA Kinman Communications. It represents a range of blue-chip clients including Irish Life & Permanent, Topaz and the American Chamber of Commerce.

It's the second senior appointment by the firm in recent months. Gerald Howlin, former special advisor to Taoiseach Bertie Ahern joined the firm's Public Affairs team earlier year (PRWeek, 28 March 2008).
